League Game - Number 6

Park Farm Pumas - A (Brand New Team for the 2021/2022 Season Saturday League)

Park Farm Pumas - A Team were at home to Hampton Untied FC in what was a good game of Football. It took 11 minutes for the first goal to come when Shane Macbeth assisted Scott Kinlan for his 4th Goal of the season. Straight from the restart Ryan Bloor picks the ball up and plays a delicious cross ball to Shane who takes the ball in his stride before calmly slotting past the keeper to make it 2-0. Sloppy bit of play (20 minutes in) by Pumas and Hampton go through and score to make it 2-1 (Pumas error for a needless goal). 23 minutes in and Jordan plays in a beautiful curling ball from the corner and who's on the end of it? Scott Kinlan, with a great finish to put the pumas back in the lead 3-1. Half time Pumas in 3-1 up.

Half time substitution sees Ryan Guest come on the replace Jordan O'Rourke. Ryan Guest looked lively in the first 5 minutes and should of bagged a goal, however from determination and hard work on 52 minutes Shane gets an assist for Ryan Guest to score and make it 4-1. Couple of Substitution's with 25 mins to go in the middle of the park to freshen things up, Ryan Parish and Annis come in for Clarkey and Cam. The game goes a bit sloppy from about 70 minutes in and pumas start to give away the ball and the free flowing football has stopped, after a 5 minute poor spell Pumas kicked into gear again and some lovely football between Parish and Guesty see them split Hampton's defence with intricate passes. 81 minutes in and Pumas get a penalty, Ryan Bloor the designated Penalty Taker steps aside and allows Kinlan to have the chance to grab his hatrick? Great penalty by Kinlan to make it 5-1. 82 minutes on the clock and a terrible mixup at the back and the keeper makes an error to allow Hampton to nick a goal to make it 5-2 (another mistake by pumas to gift the opposition another goal, seems to be their own undoing's that are allowing the oppositions to score this season). Ando the GK decides to make amends for the error only 5 minutes prior and plays a ball pin point to Shane (not for the first time this season) who goes forward to score his second goal of the game and wrap up the 3 points. Pumas continue their great start to the season playing 6 games and winning 5 of them with a tally of 15 Points from a max possible of 18.

Match Ratings

Starting 11:

GK - James Anderson (7) - A Good performance from the keeper today, couple of mistakes which led to a goal but rectified by playing a perfectly weighted ball for Pumas 6th Goal. Grabs his 5th Assist of the season.

CB - Ryan Bloor (9) - Outstanding today, I gave up counting how many times he turned their attackers inside out before putting Pumas on the front foot for attack after attack. Grabbed an assist with a perfectly waited ball across diagonally (30/40yards) to Shane who went onto score. Turns down a penalty chance (designated penalty taker) on 81 minutes to allow his team mate to complete his hat-rick (Role Model/Leader to the players around him)

CB - Bradley Bloor (9) - Will keep this one short for today's game as this guy didn't put a foot wrong, was exceptional at the back and to think pre season Brad didn't want to be a Centre Back. Proving to be pivotal to game winning performances.

RCB - Michael-John (7) - Good first half and linked play with midfield, looked to overlap where possible but second half seem to struggle from a knock earlier in the game, was substituted on 82 minutes.

LW - Scott Kinlan (9) - Kinlan strikes again and lands his second hat-trick in 2x games, he's caused a big headache for management as he seems to have found a new home on the left wing. Didn't stop running all game, constantly linked up play and always looked to be on the end of everything whether that be attack or defence.

CM - Lewis Clarke (7) - Good overall performance but looked leggy in the second half and was substituted on 70 minutes for Annis.

CM - Cameron Scott (7) - Good solid performance today, covered huge amount of ground before being substituted on 61 minutes for Parish.

CM - Thomas Bass (8) - Another good shift from Bassy helped his team secure a comfortable 6-2 win, ran his socks off and made sure everyone was organised for the full 90 minutes. Is the glue of the Centre midfield whether that be a 2 or 3.

RW - Jordan O'Rouke - (6) - Jordan struggle today in the first half with some unusual passing (normally excellent) and touches, grabbed a great assist for Kinlan's second goal from a corner with a perfectly weighted curling ball in off the left foot. Was substituted at half time for Guesty.

ST - Tee-Jay (9) - Tee-Jay played in a starting striker role before being switched to right wing in the second half. Was excellent from start to finish, ran himself into the ground. Constantly pressing up top and won multiple challenges, link up in the first half with Shane was great. Second half moved to right wing which he seem to fall into nicely by covering attack and defence duties, his strength see no one go by him and consistently was putting balls into the attackers.

ST - Shane Macbeath (10) - Shane was everywhere today and bagged 2x goals + 3x assists, could of had 5x goals and 9x assists. Won everything and the goal on 88 minutes just sums up his determination to fight to the end and get as much out of the game as possible. Had a great relationship/link up with Tee-Jay in the first half (first time together in that role) which see multiple chances created. The 10 rating today was he had everything in the game from goals, assists, tackles, determination, effort, desire.

Subs:

DF/MF - Annis Ajani (6) - Came on with 20 minutes to go and sat as a CDM after Pumas changed to a 4-5-1 formation. Won tackles and broke up play.

AM/ST - Ryan Guest (8) - Came on at half time as a striker and had an excellent game, was at it from the minute the whistle went and looked hungry for the ball. Should of scored within the first 5 minutes but didn't give up and on 52 minutes got his goal (3rd of the season), change of formation see Guesty moved to left wing and Kinlan dropped to Left Back. This is where Guesty excelled and was up and down linking up with his team mates, best bit of play was between him and parish with some triangle splitting footy, where has this Ryan been hiding (3 goals for the season).

AM - Josh Chapman (6) - Came on with 5 minutes to go and had a bursting run down the right wing taking on 2 players before being fouled, great experience and is growing week by week.

CM - Ryan Parish (7) - Came on for Cam Scott with 29 minutes to go and looked hungry, broke up play and linked some nice football. Best move of the game was his link up with Guesty, attitude was excellent.

Man of the Match - Shane Macbeath
