Match Report - HOLBEACH BANK FC Vs PARK FARM PUMAS - A (League Game)

League Game - Number 4

Park Farm Pumas - A (Brand New Team for the 2021/2022 Season Saturday League)

Park Farm Pumas - A Team were away to Holbeach Bank FC in what was a very physical game. At 0-0 Pumas had a chance to take the lead when Jordan run the wing before crossing a perfectly weighted ball across the box for Guesty to tap in but he couldnt convert and in the process injured himself. 19 minutes on the clock and a foul was made on Clarkey (ref didnt blow), then a second foul on Cam Scott in the same move and again ref never gave to which lead to an altercation between the two oppositions and before you know Clarkey is in headlock struggling to breath (Holbeach players surrounded them and prevented Pumas from freeing him) so Jacob had no option other than to use force to get the player off him. 2x Red Cards and 2x Yellow cards were issued and the remaining 70 minutes see both teams play with 10 men. Formation was changed to 4-4-1 and after a good 10 minute spell Pumas were rewarded with a goal (Own Goal, deflection) to put them 1-0 up. Half-time go in at 1-0 up.
13 minutes into the second half Kinlan plays a nice ball to Emery before he goes and cuts inside the fall back before unleashing a great strike from outside the area and finished in the bottom corner. 62 minutes on the clock and a back pass from MJ was miss kicked by the GK and Holbeach had an easy tap in to make it 2-1. Ryan Bloor converts a penalty on the 70th minute after the player handballed in the area and Shane Macbeth finished a one on one with the keeper on 81 minutes to complete a 4-1 victory.

Match Ratings

Starting 11:

GK - James Anderson (6) - Not a usual performance from Ando today, couple of situations in the 1st half when opposition closed him down which could of lead to a goal but fortunately nothing came of them. Kicking overall wasn't to his usual high level and this then lead to a mistake which allowed the opposition to steal a goal. Solid hands however over the 90 minutes and never dropped anything.

LB - Scott Kinlan (8) - Kinlan worked the overlaps today excellent in both half's and created multiple attacks from it, second half especially the partnership with Emery was excellent.

CB - Bradley Bloor (8) - Solid for the full 90 minutes, attitude was excellent and won all the duals he came up against. Great partnership with his brother today and demonstrates a great understanding between the two.

CB - Ryan Bloor (8) - Back to his usual standards, been carrying a knock last couple of weeks so has restricted his play for those games. Today he won everything in the air and on the ground, was sharp and quick and linked up with Brad excellent. Got his reward for the hard work by scoring a penalty and takes him to 4 goals in 4 games.

RB - Michael-John (8) - MJ has had a great start to the season and is demonstrating what a great addition to the team he has become, his best game to date since the League commenced a few weeks ago. Was solid at the back, winning everything and also gave an attacking threat going forward.

LW - Jordan O'Rouke (7) - Great 1st half, multiple attacks down the wing and delivered some great balls in, unfortunately couldn't be converted, always covered defensive duties as well. (substituted on 43 minutes with a foot injury).

CM - Lewis Clarke (7) - Ran his socks off again today for 74 minutes before being substituted, worked really well as a 3x cm partnership. Picked up a yellow card on 19 minutes.

CM - Cameron Scott (7) - Good performance from Cam today, bossed it in centre mid, final ball and touch today lacked a little when going forward but work rate never stops.

CM - Thomas Bass (9) - Excellent today and grabbed man of the match for what was his best game of the League Season. Was intelligent in the way he bossed the midfield and always filled the gaps on the pitch, won every battle he went into. He spread the play all over the park and never stopped until the final whistle went, keeps growing game by game.

RW - Jacob Martin (5) - Difficult game today for Jacob as was not given chance to do anything after receiving a RED CARD on 19 minutes trying to defend his team mate.

ST - Ryan Guest (6) - Good running and pressing from the whistle, after a ball was whipped into the far post from the left wing Guesty had the opportunity to bag his second goal of the season but somehow missed and from it injured himself and was subbed on 13 minutes.

Subs:

AM/ST - Shane Macbeth (7) - Came on 13 minutes into the game for Guesty and played in multiple positions for the remainder of the game, worked hard and was rewarded with a goal, should of also had an assist for what would of been goal of the season contender but Emery was judged to be offside.

AM - Adam Emery (7) - Came on 43 minutes into the game for Jordan O'Rouke, played on the Left Wing and slotted in nicely with the Full Back Kinlan, first half had a glorious pass played to him before controlling and hitting the perfect shot pass the keeper however was ruled offside (tight decision for what would have been contender for goal of the season). Nice link up play with Kinlan in the 2nd half allowed Emery to cut inside their defender before hitting a perfectly placed shot into the bottom corner from outside the box (big goal at the time to make it 2-0).

ST - River Walters (6) - Came on with 16 minutes to go, had a couple of chances in front of goal but none converted.

CM - Ryan Parish (6) - Replaced Cam Scott on 75 minutes, ran his socks of for the time he was on and made a lot of strong tackles with breaking up play.

DF - Andrew Brooks (N/A) - Sub not used

Man of the Match - Thomas Bass

Goals: Own Goal (29th Minute), Adam Emery (58th Minute), Ryan Bloor - Penalty (70th Minute), Shane Macbeth (81st Minute)

Assists: Scott Kinlan x2 (58th & 81st Minute)
